Found

I have to admit a huge liking for FOUND magazine...obviously.

Someone threw this out in a park I visited. He was lying near the crematorium and he looked either very loved (and worn out) or unloved and ruined by nature. I hope he wasn't thrown aside with grief. Poor wee thing.

I was pleased to note today that people still throw out their unwanted goods onto the street. It seems unlikely nowadays to find decent furniture or other goods what with ebay/cash in the attic etc insisting that we can all make money from our unwanted stuff. Fortunately organisations like Freecycle encourage people to make the most of their rubbish and pass it on to those in need, without searching for a quick buck.

As much as I appreciate Freecycle I still love the idea that people drive past bundles of crap and dive in searching for something useful. I envy those who have successfully unloaded a local skip to find something of great use. Maybe one day. For the meantime I'm on the search for unwanted goods lingering on street corners. What do people just throw out?
